Sportinglinx is a leadership program for a group of selected Years 8 students. This program will be facilitated by STARTTS and will support your child's learning and understanding about leadership qualities and team work in a fun and supportive environment. The skills the students will learn will be implemented in Term 4 where they will create and run a Gala day for a group of primary students from the local area. This workshop will run from Term 2-4, one period a week. It is the student's responsibility to catch up on class work missed out while attending the program. Participants: Selected group of Year 8 students.

Wheels of Change - Junior Engagement Program - Year 7

The Wheels of Change program is our engagement program for specific Year 7 students to improve engagement across all aspects of their learning. The program is goal orientated, whereby through mentoring each student will identify specific goals that they want to work towards. Small steps of success will be created in order to reach the bigger, overall goal. Selected students will meet every Monday Period 1B.

The BBB program is a female leadership and empowerment initiative. Bold, Brave and Beautiful is held within Bossley Park High School premises for selected female students in Year 9. This program promotes a safe space where girls can be themselves, be heard, develop resilience and demonstrate their strengths. It gives girls the opportunity to discover commonalities and celebrate differences, while learning to express themselves in a positive manner. There are 3 stages to this program: Term 2: Participate - Various topics will be covered in weekly discussions Term 3: Volunteer - Students will volunteer at a local aged care centre. Term 4: Lead - Students will develop lessons to teach Year 7 girls or have the opportunity to design and develop a community project to put the skills learnt into practice.
