Community support groups

The Bossley Park High School Community Support Group (CSG) is a P&C Association which enables parents and citizens to meet to determine the needs and aspirations of the school community.

The objects of a P&C Association are to;

  • promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, pupils and teaching staff into close co-operation;
  • assist in providing equipment required by the school;
  • report to the Minister the material requirements of the school;
  • assist the teaching staff in establishment of school policy and management in all facets of school activity.

The Community Support Group meetings are attended by the Principal and a Deputy Principal, who provide an update on the school status, outline recent events and advise the members of upcoming events. The meetings give members a chance to keep aware of activities and planning within the school, and foster a close co-operation between the school staff and members of the community. Guest speakers are periodically invited to the meetings to inform the members on specific topics relevant to the school and its operation. An Annual membership levy is included in the school fees, so please feel free to come along, become more familiar with your school and teachers and join the discussions. The meetings are advertised in the Bossley Biz and notices and agendas are emailed to those parents whose email is listed with the school.

CSG Meetings are held in the Common Room at 6.30pm on the third Tuesday of the month during the school term. All parents are welcome.
